I grew up on a farm in the Panhandle of Texas. I moved to Hobbs, NM in 1972, and taught in the Hobbs' schools for 54 years. The office of probate offers me the opportunity to continue helping the people of our county. I previously served 8 years, 2 terms, as probate judge. Probate is not about judging, it is about procedure. And the jobs of probate judge is to help make that procedure as smooth and simple as possible. As probate judge, I would seek to offer guidance over judgement, education over confusion. I loved every minute that I spent as probate judge, and I hope to be able to continue offering my services.
