I grew up on a farm in the Panhandle of Texas. I moved to Hobbs, NM in 1972 and taught in Hobbs schools for 54 years. Teaching allowed me to serve and build lasting ties within our community.
The Office of Probate offers me another opportunity to continue helping the people of our county. I previously served two terms, eight years, as Probate Judge. Probate is not about judging people; it is about following procedure. The job of the Probate Judge is to help make that procedure as smooth and simple as possible.
As Probate Judge, I would seek to offer guidance over judgment and education over confusion. I truly loved every minute I spent serving as Probate Judge, and I hope to continue offering my services to our community.
